The Langtang Valley lies just 80 kilometers north of Kathmandu, nestled within the Langtang National Park bordering Tibet. This unique region offers a diverse range of micro climates ranging from subtropical to alpine. The welcoming people of Langtang follow Tibetan Buddhism and speak a dialect of Tibetan. I last visited the valley in 2015, one year after a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake reeked havoc on the valley, destroying homes and villages.
